As you know, at Elia, the fight to preserve the environment is at the heart of our concerns.
So how can we make a real difference to the climate?
Since the launch of our menstrual pants, our mission has been to offer you menstrual pants that reflect our environmental commitments. In addition to offering you products that are healthy for you, we also want to do good for our planet by making a commitment on a daily basis. That's why :
- Our absorbent textile made from eucalyptus wood fiber is manufactured in Austria, and its production has no impact on the environment.
- All our models are certified "Origine France Garantie". We produce in short circuits and in four integrated workshops, with the aim of limiting our carbon footprint. In other words, all stages of our production (knitting, cutting, embroidery, assembly, etc.) are carried out in France, thanks to the hundreds of jobs we have created through this activity.
- We recycle our waste and fabric offcuts, and all our printing is climate-neutral. In fact, we offset the quantity of greenhouse gases emitted during the printing of our communication materials.
We know that we can always improve and that, like every company, we have a duty towards society and nature. To take our commitment even further, we are proud to have been selected to join the Convention des Entreprises pour le Climat.
What is the CEC?
The CEC, Convention des Entreprises pour le Climat, brings together over 150 business leaders to align the French business world with the Paris agreements and propose solutions that can be implemented within companies. Taking over from the Citizens' Climate Convention, the CEC runs from September 9, 2021 to June 18, 2022. It brings together a diversity of companies, from all different fields. 8 months during which the selected companies rethink their business and activities, accompanied by scientific and educational experts. The aim? Reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 55% by 2030.
The program is divided into 6 2-day sessions.
Why join this convention?
At Elia, we're convinced that we all have a role to play in preserving resources and the environment. By taking part in the Businesses for Climate Convention, we are joining forces to accelerate the ecological transition that is so necessary today.
